Award Amount $5,000 to each of 30 recipients. Two special scholarships award $10,000 each.

Who/Notable Qualifiers For students who possess a valid (not expired) U.S. Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card (DD Form 1173) and whose parent(s) are serving in or retired from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force or Coast Guard may apply for a scholarship.

Planning to pursue an eligible vocational/technical course within the U.S. pursuing an Associate Degree, Diploma, or Certificate. Age 18+, US citizen, and Texas resident.

Student must be a currently enrolled at Lone Star College-University Park in machinist-based training / machining technology program with a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Eligibility includes: under 30; enrolled full time by September; at least half your program remaining; financial need; perseverance.
