Best Practices

Do

cite your images (i.e. give credit to the source)
- your "in-text" citations can be more informal to not distract from the overall look of your material

Don't

just grab images off Google Image Search that look "good enough"
- images can be mislabeled, attributed to the wrong eras, and difficult to cite!

Search public domain images on Flickr.
Wikimedia Commons
Free sound repository with search interface and category organization.
Library of Congress Digital Collections
Portal to digital collections from the LoC spanning a variety of subjects, media, and locales.

For creating/editing graphics:

The 6 computers by librarian Betty's office (B12.806) have the Adobe Creative Suite installed, if you want to be fancy.

Canva
Use templates or start from scratch to create visuals. Upload your own images or take advantage of the free graphics available from Canva.
