What is online tutoring?

Online tutoring is synchronous audio/visual sessions offered through a supported platform. Currently, UP coaches are available on the TutorMatch platform.

Who can use online tutoring?

Any currently-enrolled Lone Star College-University Park student. 

How can students access it?

For UP coaches on TutorMatch, access TutorMatch through myLoneStar.

Visit TutorMatch through LSC Online tile inside of MyLoneStar. Need help in navigating Tutor Match? Refer to the Tutor Match Online Tutoring guide.

I'm not a LSC-University Park student. What can I do?

Check with your campus to find out how to access their online tutoring, or email us directly to learn about other options.

We want to make sure everyone is able to get help from TutorMatch, so the following procedures are in place.

1. Students are not allowed to make more than one appointment per day with UP tutors. This is to allow other students an opportunity to get help as well.

2. Tutors will wait 15 minutes for an appointment. If a student does not show up within the first 15 minutes of a scheduled appointment, the tutor will end the session, and the student will need to reschedule.

3. Any student with more than 3 no-shows who do not cancel beforehand will be restricted from the platform. Please show up on time or cancel in a timely manner to allow other students a chance to work with the tutor(s).
