Assignment | Indian Removal Act (Prof. Tucker) : Research: Secondary

HIST 1301 | Prof. Kevin Tucker (Fall 2025)

Pick a Strategy to Begin

Using Keywords and Phrases

In secondary source research you are investigating the analysis and commentary of historians regarding an event (Indian Removal Act) or a research question. Review the definition of "crimes against humanity". Record keywords or phrases from the definition and the research questions.

You may begin your research in a specific database (JSTOR, best bet!) or use Discovery (tutorial below) to search everything at once. Keywords, phrases and filters help to limit and define the information the databases will locate.
