Getting Started with E-Books

Introduction to & instructions for using the e-book collections available to LSC-UP users.

The digital library at LSC-University Park offers e-books through several online collections. Use the discovery search box to start looking (just adjust Source Type to e-books to filter your results), or you can go into specific collections to search and browse. This guide provides more details about what kinds of materials and access to the e-books you have.

Includes over 15,000 academic titles across disciplines. Simultaneous access varies by individual book license.

Ebook Central

Contains over 100,000 e-book titles covering a full range of academic topics. General reference works are also included. Books tend to be multi-user accessible.

Gale eBooks

Includes full-text, searchable reference sets in such areas as literature, business, education, game programming, and social sciences.

  • Read Magazines from Flipster and Libby/OverDrive
  • Watch Movies on Kanopy
  • Listen to Audiobooks from Libby/Overdrive
  • Read Comics, Graphic Novels, and e-Books on Libby/Overdrive
  • Take a class on Kanopy
  • Read along & Play on Tumblebooks (for kids)
