Digging Deeper - Library Database Resources

The library has a great collection of research databases specifically catered for your education and career needs.

When accessing the databases off-campus, use your 14-digit library card number, which you can find on the back of your student id.

Academic Search Complete (EBSCO)
Multi-disciplinary database; full text of articles from over 5,300 journals, magazines and newspapers, plus image collections.
Job & Career Accelerator (part of Learning Express Library)
Provides help with matching skills to a career, current job listings, and cover letter and resume preparation. Requires free login so you can save work online. If you are unable to register off campus, please try again using an on-campus computer.
Vocational & Career Collection (EBSCO)
Full text coverage for more than 350 trade and industry-related periodicals.
New York Times: Create an Account
Find both news and reviews as well as access to historical NY Times issues dating back to 1851.

First time user: To get access, you need to first register for an NYT account.
1. Click the link. You will have to enter your LSC library barcode.
2. Select Create Account and complete registration fields. Use your LSC email address!
3. Once you have an account, you may access NYTimes.com and NYT mobile apps like any subscriber, or go through this link but select "log in."

Includes access to The Economist, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Maclean’s, and U.S. News & World Report, among other news, scholarly, and trade publications.
