Assignment | ENGR 1202 Group Project (Guzman): Getting Started

Spring 2020 | ENGR 1201 | Prof. Guzman

Assignment

Engineering Group Project (Summary*)

The group project will consist of a team of engineering students working together through the Design Process as outlined in the Engineering Design Process Review provided in D2L.

Your task is to follow the Design Process to build your product. Be prepared to present the results. You should expect your presentation to be 15 minutes long. During the presentation describe the Design Process that you have completed. You will have 5 more minutes to show the function of your project. Each team member must present part of the project.

In addition, you will need to submit a report that chronicles each phase of the design process and describes decisions that were made as the project was completed. You cannot purchase an off the shelf solution, this must be something that you create. In that respect, you will be responsible for the costs of the project, so you might want to take that into consideration during your planning.

Each group will need to have a Project Manager who will interact with me for approvals and questions or clarifications and will serve in that role for the group.  Keep in mind it is not the responsibility of the project manager to do all the work. This is a group effort.

*Full assignment details are in the D2L classroom.
