Internet Aggregators

These sites, designed to help voters explore political candidates, provide a nice starting point for determining candidates' positions with cited (mostly) statements they've made on various issues.

Google Smarter

Politicians are likely to have both a personally-managed website as well as an official government profile page. For example, Ted Cruz has TedCruz.org, his campaign site, as well as a Senate page.

You can limit results to certain domains by adding site: to your search terms, e.g.: Ted Cruz site:.gov.

Databases

These are particularly helpful if you keep running into paywalls online.

Accessing the Databases

Access online library materials through the library databases!

To access the databases locked icon (same icon that displays by the LSC-limited access resources) from off-campus, you will be prompted to enter your LSC email/password or your 14-digit library barcode.
