The latest version of the Chicago Manual of Style was released in Sept. 2024! In August 2025, the library will be switching our Chicago guide over to reflect the changes of this version to use for classes moving forward, and the guide for the 17th edition will be retired.
You can preview the guide for CMOS 18 already (for the fall semester, the URLs will be changed to the default /chicago), and there's an overview of changes from the 17th edition provided by the publisher.
