Akira Wu received her Master of Library Science degree from the University of North Texas and has spent most of her career working with diverse communities of all ages and backgrounds within academic libraries at the University of Texas at Austin, Sam Houston State University, and is now super grateful to continue to offer her experience and insights to the amazingly talented patrons at Lone Star College-University Park! She's passionate about ensuring accessibility to knowledge and information of all kinds for everyone, promoting mental health awareness, and advocating for positive changes in the community. Outside of work, she loves to build DIY miniature rooms/sets, playing video games, and enjoying music at concerts!
