Assignment | ENGL 1302 Annotated Bibliography (Davis-Bibb): Getting Started

ENGL 1302 | Professor Davis-Bibb (Spring 2025)

Assignment

Annotated Bibliography

Create an annotated bibliography based on your research topic. Your annotated bibliography should be descriptive and evaluative. It should also be in MLA format. The full assignment is linked below.

To annotate means to add notes. An MLA Annotated Bibliography will have a citation (like below), followed by notes about the item cited. Look at the template (download the file and use the placeholder sections to make it your own) and the sample that follow.

MLA Citation Example

Santino, Jack. “Halloween in America: Contemporary Customs and Performances.” Western Folklore, vol. 42, no. 1, 1983, pp. 1–20. JSTOR, www.jstor.org/stable/1499461.
