National Poetry Month 2018

A guide to the daily poems shared by @lscuplibrary. Developed with collaboration from Prov. Brian Reeves and the English department at Lone Star College-University Park.

What's Going On This Month?

The English department led by Prof. Brian Reeves in collaboration with librarians Elaine Patton and Betty Rugh are sharing poems on the theme of change this month! Poems were selected by our faculty.

Where To Find the Poems:

  • Follow @lscuplibrary on Twitter or Tumblr
  • Sign up to receive a semi-daily (Mon-Thurs) email with the poem in your inbox
    • If you change your mind during the month, just email up.poetry.blast@gmail.com from that email to let us know you'd like to be removed.

Hey, That's Not the Entire Poem!

Good catch! We want to be respectful of poets' copyrights and not reproduce entire poems, so instead we're sending out key excerpts with commentary to help you learn about the poet and the poem. Use this guide to find active links to where you can read more by that poet or request published collections through the library catalog.
